How it works
- Make your playlist in Spotify, YouTube Music or Tidal, the way you already do.
- Dress it up. Pick a cassette, CD or poster cover, animated art straight out of a 90s screensaver, and a title font. Write a note for every song: why it's there, what it reminds you of.
- Send one link. They open it, press play and read your notes as each song comes on. Give everyone their own link with their own dedication.
Questions
Which music apps does it work with?
Spotify, YouTube Music and Tidal play right on the page. Everyone gets an "open in your app" link, and YouTube plays full songs for anyone, no account needed.
Does the person I send it to need an account?
No. They open the link, press play and read your notes.
Is it free?
Yes, while we're testing with friends and family. A deluxe option for extras like photo and video covers is planned.
Does Modern Mix use AI?
Every mix is chosen and written by a person, for a person: nothing in a mix is generated by AI, and we never use what you make with AI without asking you first. AI coding tools helped build the website itself. More in our AI Policy.
